  • Andrew Gerges

    PRESIDENT

    Andrew is incredibly excited to serve as SIAS president this year! He is a senior from Torrance, CA studying Economics and International Relations and has been involved with SIAS from the very beginning of his Stanford experience, starting off as a fellow in the programming team. He has chaired for SMUNC, competes with the Model UN Travel Team, and has dabbled in every SIAS branch. He is hoping for another productive year and is especially excited about seeing Stanford's first collegiate Model UN conference and more comprehensive academic programming. Andrew is fresh from completing Trinity Term at Oxford University and his summer professional experiences have taken him from a think tank in the Republic of Georgia to the Department of Defense in D.C. On campus, he's researched with the Gordian knot Center and the Freeman Spogli Institute. He is especially interested in the interplay of global power plays and economic development. Outside of SIAS, he writes for the Stanford Daily and enjoys the standard responses of reading, hiking, and exploring the Bay Area. To get his attention, talk about Wikipedia, Civilization VI, or life-consuming works like Station Eleven. Ultimately, he loves international and loves societies and is ecstatic about his last year with SIAS.

  • Sophie Donnellan

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Originally from Chicago, Sophie is a senior at Stanford studying International Relations and French. She is passionate about climate security and writing her senior thesis on climate migration through the CISAC Honors program. As Vice President of SIAS this year, Sophie looks forward to bolstering accessibility and communication between SIAS branches while supporting their collaboration and independent initiatives. During her former role as Captain of the Model UN team, Sophie improved accessibility and recruitment for the team through financial aid and symposium initiatives, and led a delegation of students to Erfurt, Germany. She is excited to help all branches of SIAS reach their goals and foster community. This past spring, Sophie sailed in French Polynesia to study sharks through Stanford@SEA, and she has also participated in study-away programs through Stanford in Washington and Stanford in Paris.   • Britney Bennett

    FINANCIAL OFFICER

    Britney is a junior studying Biomedical Computation on the Simulation Track at Stanford. She is excited to serve as the Financial Officer for SIAS this year, as well as a USG for SMUNC and a SUMUN Chair. Outside of SIAS, she is a Research Assistant for the Bio-Strategies and Leadership (BSL) Program at the Hoover Institution, a Residential Assistant for Meier Hall, and a Front Desk Volunteer for Cardinal Free Clinics. In her free time, Britney enjoys listening to music and eating açaí bowls.

  • Shayla Fitzsimmons-Call

    DEPUTY FINANCIAL OFFICER

    Shayla is a junior studying International Relations and Theater. After a wonderful sophomore year working on SIAS programming, she is excited to join the finance team! On campus, Shayla works as an intern for the King Center on Global Development and is VP of Stanford's salsa team. Originally from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, she finds joy in nature, CoHo jazz, and her sizable earring collection.

  • Lindsey McKhann

    CHIEF OF STAFF

    Lindsey is thrilled to serve as Chief of Staff of SIAS for the 2024-2025 term! She has previously held the offices of President and Chief Programming Officer of SIAS and has been deeply involved with MUN as a SMUNC Chair/Crisis Director, SUMUN Crisis Director, and delegate on the MUN team. She is a senior studying International Relations and Human Rights and is pursuing a coterminal Master's degree in Public Policy. She does research with the Center for Human Rights and International Justice and the H.R. McMaster Research Team at the Hoover Institution. She is also a Residential Assistant in Jerry, the hottest row house not actually on the row, and a camping trip leader for the Stanford Outdoor Center.

  • Claudia Sung

    SENIOR ADVISOR

    Claudia (she/her) is a junior studying history, Asian American studies, and education. She is from Virginia Beach, Virginia. In the past, she has served as a MUN Vice Captain and SMUNC Secretary General. This year, she's serving as the SUMUN Secretary General. At Stanford, she's researched at the Center for Spatial and Textual Analysis and is part of the Stanford Decarceration Collective and Stanford Matriculate.   • Nicole Benalcázar-Pavlik

    SENIOR ADVISOR

    Nicole is a senior from the Bay Area majoring in international relations and minoring in human rights. In the past, she has served as a Model UN Vice Captain and SMUNC Director General, and she is excited to serve as a senior advisor this year! On campus she is involved with research at Hoover, Chi Alpha (Christian fellowship), and Los Salseros de Stanford. She loves learning languages, singing and playing guitar, dancing, and traveling!
